Messi to snub Man City switch; has major reason not to sign

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will not be joining Manchester City because he has a bad relationship with Pep Guardiola, according to reports.
The pair worked together at the Nou Camp between 2008 and 2012, helping the Catalan giants to dominate La Liga and the rest of European football.
Messi has been strongly linked with a switch to City as his Barca future has been up in air, despite a new deal being agreed although not officially signed as yet.
But the Argentine’s chances of heading to The Etihad are very slim, according to a report on Spanish website Diario Gol.
They claim that the pair no longer have a working relationship after they fell out during Guardiola’s final weeks in charge of the Spanish side.
The duo are reported to have hardly spoken in the five years since Guardiola left, while the City boss is also said to be concerned with the reaction he will get from the club’s fans if he tries to lure Messi away.
The 30-year-old is expected to pen his new deal soon, with reports claiming that he was waiting for the club to offer him a longer-term contract.
