Milan paper reveals Jose Mourinho’s 4-man Man Utd shopping list

Jose Mourinho has reportedly targeted four new signings at Manchester United this summer as he attempts to halt Manchester City’s dominance.

Pep Guardiola’s City could clinch the Premier League title against United and it’s a distinct possibility they will be 20 points clear of Mourinho’s men in May.

United have only the FA Cup left to play for and Mourinho is planning to ship out as many as eight players, according to the Daily Express.

That will help fund the arrival of four big-name signings, with two midfielders and two defenders on his shopping list.

And according to Milan paper Libero, Mourinho has four specific men in mind.

PSG’s Italy midfielder Marco Verratti is top of his list of targets, while Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is also believed to be on his wanted list.

That will be enough to revamp a midfield, which is likely to lose Marouane Fellaini, while Michael Carrick is retiring.

Barcelona ace Samuel Umtiti is wanted to strengthen the heart of his backline, while Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld is also a target.

Belgian outlet HLN claim Spurs are now up for selling Alderweireld, 29, or a fee of €50million in the summer.

Umtiti is believed to have a €60million release clause in his deal, while Kroos’ buyout is a staggering £443million, while PSG refused to put a release clause in Verratti’s contract.

The French side rate Verratti very highly and United would probably have to start the bidding at £100million to get their hands on the 25-year-old.
