Miller brace downs Hoops at Ibrox

The striker returned to haunt his former club once again with two early goals to put the Scottish champions in the driving seat at Ibrox.

Aiden McGeady did manage to pull a goal back from the penalty spot but his strike was not enough to prevent Tony Mowbray’s first derby as Celtic boss ending in defeat.

Ibrox erupted when Miller (8) gave Rangers the lead after he rolled the ball past the hapless Artur Boruc after being put through by Kris Boyd.

And Miller doubled the home side’s lead on 16 minutes squeezing the ball past Boruc.

The visitors were given a lifeline in the 25th minute when Sasa Papac’s trailing leg caught Zheng Zhi inside the box and McGeady’s spot-kick just beat Allan McGregor.
