Sane would snap up opportunity of Liverpool move, claims pundit

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane would jump at the chance to play for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, according to pundit Danny Mills.
Sane continues to be linked with a move to Bayern Munich after a move to the German champions fell through last summer, but reports last week suggested Liverpool made an enquiry into his availability.
Bild head of football Christian Falk confirmed the rumour while insisting that a move to Anfield would never be an option for Sane.
However, speaking to Football Insider, Mills claimed that the rivalry between City and Liverpool – which has grown significantly over the past few seasons – would not be a hindrance to the deal.
“Clubs do not want to sell to their immediate rivals and that is normally the biggest problem,” the pundit said.
“If Liverpool want Sane I am pretty sure he would go there given the opportunity. Why wouldn’t you?
“We have seen players do far worse. It is not a Manchester United-Liverpool or a Leeds-Manchester United. The rivalry is not of that ilk.”
Sane has not featured for City this season after suffering a serious knee injury against the Reds in the Community Shield, although he had returned to training before the Premier League season was abruptly halted.
The Germany international has scored 39 goals and assisted 45 others in 134 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side since joining from Schalke.
In other news, Wolves winger Adama Traore has been told why he should ignore reported interest from Liverpool.
