Mohsni accepts two-match ban

Mohsni was issued with a notice of complaint by new Scottish Football Association compliance officer Tony McGlennan following the 3-1 defeat to Hibernian in Monday’s Scottish Championship game at Ibrox.

The 27-year-old, who appeared to argue with his own supporters as he headed down the tunnel at half-time, was cited after he appeared to swing an arm at Hibs centre-back Liam Fontaine.

The Tunisian lashed out after Fontaine knocked the ball out of his hands as he raced back to the halfway line following Nicky Law’s consolation goal for the hosts after 55 minutes.

Rangers striker Kris Boyd was also issued with a notice of complaint after the game but he has chosen to contest the citing rather than accept the two-match suspension he was offered.

Boyd went head-to-head with visiting defender Jordan Foster after a clash in the Hibs penalty area. He now faces a principal hearing on October 9.

McGlennan is in his first week as the SFA’s new disciplinary chief after replacing Vincent Lunny.
