Moore and Collins offered deals

Recruitment firm JPNG completed its takeover of the club on Monday and new chairman Gary Coxall has wasted little time in rewarding the management duo for the club’s unlikely relegation escape last season.

When asked what was at the top of his to-do list since replacing former chairman Ken Hodcroft, Coxall told the Hartlepool Mail: “A new contract, longer term, for Ronnie and Sam.

“There is no beating around the bush trying to be political.

“We have had discussions, which were positive, and hopefully there will be an announcement soon. We need to secure those two.”

Moore, who has had three spells as manager at Tranmere and two at Rotherham, replaced Paul Murray as Pools boss in December.

The club were 10 points adrift of safety at one stage following Moore’s arrival, but guaranteed their Football League status with a game to spare.
