Moses magic denies toiling Tykes

Outstanding teenage midfielder Moses arrowed an overhead kick from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner early in the second half to level for the Londoners after Daniel Bogdanovic had given Barnsley a 19th-minute lead with a curling 20-yard shot.

Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose blasted a third-minute penalty over the crossbar after Moses had been fouled by Barnsley defender Ryan Shotton, but a point each was a fair reflection of this mid-table tussle.

Barnsley were chasing a third straight league win, but extended their unbeaten run to seven matches, while Palace’s topsy-turvy season continues after they bounced back from last week’s defeat at Neil Warnock’s old club, Sheffield United.
