Mourinho contacts star striker over potential reunion at Tottenham – report

Jose Mourinho: Zlatan turmoil another problem he doesn't need

Jose Mourinho has contacted Zlatan Ibrahimovic to discuss a potential reunion at Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

Despite admitting at his introductory press conference that he was willing to work with what he had, there are already several rumours relating to who Mourinho wants to sign.

Ibrahimovic is on the lookout for a new home after cutting his ties with LA Galaxy, and a return to AC Milan has been widely speculated in the Italian media.

However, the Swedish striker could make a sensational return to the Premier League instead, if reports from Corriere Dello Sport are to be believed.

The newspaper (via SempreMilan) claims that Mourinho has already been in touch with Ibrahimovic to discuss his return to management, with a potential offer being made.

The pair worked together at Manchester United, with Ibrahimovic – now aged 38 – particularly impressing in his first season in the Premier League.

And Mourinho‘s recent appointment at Tottenham could potentially give Zlatan the chance to return to England – especially with it being reported that Spurs could offer a better wage package than Milan if they chose to pursue a move for him.
