Mourinho: I use ‘miracle room’ to talk to Woodward

Jose Mourinho has revealed how he regularly chats to Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward in a “miracle room”.

During Woodward’s time in charge of transfers, United have spent a staggering £468.2million with £89million being lavished on Paul Pogba from Juventus.

Woodward, who stepped into David Gill’s shoes in 2013, is based mainly in London while Mourinho does his work in Manchester looking after the players at their Carrington training base.

And, although Mourinho is able to bump into Woodward at a majority of United matches, he thanks technology at Carrington for allowing them to speak on a frequent basis.

“Technology makes miracles,” Mourinho told United We Stand.

“If needed, we have a room here at Carrington which is a miracle, with screens in it. So we speak a lot.

“But we also see each other in person a lot and that’s important.”
