Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly informed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about a huge transfer deal.

Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Mourinho believed to be a huge admirer of the player.

A report from OK Diario recently suggested that French giants PSG have earmarked the France international as the ideal replacement for Neymar, who continues to be tipped to return to LaLiga.

Griezmann only penned a new contract with Atletico over the summer, but the report claimed PSG are happy to trigger his €150million (£133m) release clause and pay him an annual salary of €35m (£31m).

Now, according to a report from Don Balon, the Red Devils are ready to rival the Ligue 1 giants by placing a bid of €200million themselves.

United will then tempt him to make the move to Old Trafford by making Griezmann the join-highest-paid player in the world along with former star and current Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, and the highest paid in the club’s history.

The report goes on to state that Mourinho is confident that everything will be in place to complete the deal, as he has even communicated the details to Real chief Perez.
