Mourinho once again makes pointed comment about Man Utd fans

Jose Mourinho has once again challenged Manchester United supporters to create a cauldron of noise when they face fiercest rivals Liverpool on Saturday.

The United boss has regularly questioned United fans to make the atmosphere at United more hostile, with his comments creating a feeling of tension during what is his second season in charge at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese coach held a finger to his lips after beating  Tottenham in October, with a number of his second-half decisions having been booed.

He has also questioned fans for their lack of atmosphere at Old Trafford.

United fans sought a meeting with Mourinho over his complaints, which he refused.

But he has again tried to ensure a louder stadium when United host Liverpool in a crucial game on Saturday.

“I think [Liverpool and United] both want to finish top four but we both want to finish second, so I think it is a big game, and then Seville knockout and Brighton knockout so we have three matches at Old Trafford,” Mourinho told MUTV.

“If possible, [we should] give some tickets to the United fans that were [at Selhurst Park].”
