N’Golo Kante made light of a Liverpool supporter’s efforts to persuade him to join Jurgen Klopp’s side after being asked to do so earlier this week.
The World Cup winner – one of the more humble footballers you could ever meet – this week made a surprise appearance at a Chelsea supporters wedding.
And while there, it has emerged that one of the guests tried to tell Kante to ditch the Blues in favour of a transfer to Liverpool.
During the exchange, the Reds supporter told Kante as he flashed his ‘This Is Anfield’ keyring at him: “This is where you need to come, this is where you need to come.”
However, Kante responded by flashing a trademark huge grin and simply shaking his head at the proposal.

Kante spoke about his Chelsea future earlier this summer and indicated he is committed to the Blues.
“For what is said in the press, I do not pay attention. I have always operated this way: to know, do what I need to do with my club and see what happens next. What they (the media) say, I don’t pay attention,” the midfielder said.
“It’s rewarding to be wanted by big clubs, when coaches want you in their project, to accomplish great things with their club, it’s nice. But I feel good at a club like Chelsea. I’m planning for the next seasons at Chelsea. I’m happy with my choices and to be at Chelsea.”
Frank Khalid, who is the father of the bride, told The Sun that Kante stayed until the end of the wedding and happily posed for selfies and photos with other guests.
“I invited him and originally he couldn’t attend because of his commitment to the French national team, but because of his injury he messaged me saying he was coming,” Mr Khalid said.
