Nigeria international winger Moses Simon has admitted that he is aware of interest from Liverpool.

Belgian news outlet HLN claimed last month that Liverpool had placed KAA Gent winger Moses Simon on their summer wanted list.

The former AS Trencin player has made 16 international appearances for Nigeria and could apparently fetch upwards of £13m.

The 22-year-old Nigerian is also believed to be interesting Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion, but it’s the first time Moses has been mentioned as a target for Jurgen Klopp.

Now, Simon has confirmed that he is aware of interest from Liverpool, but that nothing is set in stone regarding his future.

“Well, for now, I’m still a player of KAA Gent,” Simon revealed.

“Obviously, there was interest from Liverpool but nothing is concrete for now.

“I’m currently in Holland with the rest of the squad and we are getting ready for the new season.

“We have a game against PAOK in two days. Hopefully, I might play in that one.”
