Rovers had been running the rule over the midfield duo this summer as Gary Bowyer looks to bolster a squad which has narrowly missed out on the Sky Bet Championship play-offs in back-to-back seasons.
However, after announcing deals for French duo Sacha Petshi and Bangaly-Fode Koita on Tuesday, Bowyer has confirmed offers for Furman and Coke will not be forthcoming.
“Unfortunately they’ve been with us and obviously we had to come to a decision,” the Rovers boss told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“We’ve made the decision not to go with either of them due to the restrictions that we’re under.
“They’re very similar to players that we already have but the pair of them have been fantastic.
“If the circumstances had been different for us then it might have been different for them.”
