Norwich boss Neil praises Jarvis and Lafferty
Norwich boss Alex Neil praised the performances of Matt Jarvis and Kyle Lafferty after they both scored in Wednesday’s 3-0 cup win over West Brom.
Jarvis’ goal in the Capital Cup third-round win was the on-loan winger’s second in three games since his arrival, late in the summer transfer window, from West Ham.
While Lafferty – the subject of speculation surrounding a transfer elsewhere – also netted to delight Neil, who made eight changes from the side that drew with Liverpool on Sunday.
“Matt Jarvis was excellent, as was the rest of the team,” said Neil. “Lafferty did great. He got his goal and for the third if he wasn’t in that position the ball wouldn’t go in the net.
“There were a lot of pleasing performances all over the pitch. Everything worked really well for us.
“If you want to develop in this competition then you have to go to places like Everton and get a result. I would have preferred a home draw.”
