Norwich strike a deal to sign forward who averages nearly a goal a game

Danel Sinani TEAMtalk

Norwich City have confirmed they will sign prolific Luxembourg winger Danel Sinani in the summer.

Forward Sinani has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club and will move to Carrow Road on a three-year contract in the summer.

He is currently playing for Luxembourg side F91 Dudelange and has scored 14 goals in 16 league games this term.

Sinani told the club’s official site: “Norwich is a very big club with many good players. I will try to do my best and try to continue to hopefully score goals and to help the team to get in a high position.

“I’ve heard a lot of good things about Norwich City and I’m really excited to join you guys in the summer.

“For me, the most important thing in our situation is that you’re keeping well and keeping safe.”

Sinani had admitted in February that talks were ongoing with Norwich, saying at the time: “It’s a club that plays in the Premier League, and even if they aren’t well classified (in the table), it remains a very good level. It’s simply the best league in the world.

“I’m not scared of that second division (Sky Bet Championship). Have you seen the games they play there? It remains very strong.

“It’s a competition that’s better than some top divisions elsewhere in Europe. What’s certain is that I won’t be playing in Luxembourg for 2020-21.”
