Novo’s late winner deflates Accies

Novo fired home on 78 minutes after John Fleck’s shot was parried.

Early on Kyle Lafferty fired over before Hamilton’s Marco Paixao headed straight at Allan McGregor.

Mickael Antoine-Curier then touched the ball on for Paixao but he blasted horribly wide.

In the second half Hamilton still looked more than capable of finding the back of the net and Paixao and Antoine-Curier combined well again, with the latter drilling inches wide.

Paixao hit a superb overhead kick just off target, before Rangers hit Accies with the sucker-punch.

Sasa Papac fed the ball to sub Fleck, whose shot was parried by Tomas Cerny. The rebound then fell kindly for Novo to lash home from the tightest of angles.
