Chelsea have decided that they will sack Maurizio Sarri at the end of the season, according to a shock report from Italy.
Sarri arrived from Napoli last summer but has drawn plenty of criticism for his tactical stubbornness despite relative success.
The Italian has guided the Blues to a top-four finish in the Premier League, and they have the chance to win the Europa League in Baku later this month.
Sarri has admitted that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge but recently refused to offer any assurances amid links with the Roma job.
Now, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Roman Abramovich is ready to sack Sarri due to his ‘troubled relationship with the club’s fans’.
That will be the case even if the Italian goes on to win the Europa League, the report claims, and they state that Roma and AC Milan are the two most likely destinations for Sarri.
However, Juventus are also a potential option for Sarri despite his Napoli past, with Max Allegri’s future as Bianconeri boss still far from certain.
