Mamadou Sakho and Divock Origi: Both set to start for Liverpool

Christian Benteke may be rested for Liverpool’s Europa League tie against Bordeaux, with Divock Origi line for his first start.

Brendan Rodgers is expected to make several changes for Liverpool’s return to European competition, with Mamadou Sakho also set to make his first start of the season for the Reds.

Alberto Moreno, Jordon Ibe, Kolo Toure and Jordan Rossiter are also in contention as Rodgers looks to rest key players ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game against Norwich following back-to-back defeats.

Jordan Henderson won’t feature after flying to America to see a specialist about his heel problem, while none of Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Joe Allen are expected to be involved as they work their way back to fitness.

Philippe Coutinho could be involved, however, after missing the Manchester United game through suspension.

Simon Mignolet is expected to start in goal for the Reds, meaning Adam Bogdan will have to wait a little longer for his Liverpool debut.
