Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has explained how teammate Andy Robertson’s ruthless nature makes him one of the funniest players at the club.
The Reds have shown impeccable focus on the field to win 27 of their opening 29 Premier League games before the season was brought to a halt last month.
Indeed, such a run has put them in touching distance of their first league title in 30 years if the season is allowed to resume.
However, taking part in an Instagram Q&A, Oxlade-Chamberlain was asked about life off the field at Liverpool, and specifically who he feels has the best banter within the club.
The England international said: “I’m going to have to give it to Robbo, just because he’s the loudest and he’s non-stop. It’s, like, non-stop – Duracell bunny every day.
“All he does is just cause carnage and just banter everyone, so, yeah, Robbo.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed more questions from fans, including where he feels his best position is.
The 26-year-old has been deployed in various positions across the field, including his favoured midfield but also on the wing.
“‘Im assuming you mean on the football pitch!” he joked.
“I’m going to have to say central midfield. It’s a question I was asked for years and years but it’s definitely centre-mid – number 8.”
In other news, Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Wolves winger Adama Traore if Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane leave the club.
Salah and Mane have been loosely linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, with Traore developing into a powerful attacking option for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side since the start of last season.
