Paper Talk: Italian option getting serious for Eric Bailly
Serie A giants AC Milan are ready to step up their interest in a Man Utd defender, while Newcastle, West Ham and Everton all want a Porto attacker, according to Monday’s papers.
MILAN READY TO MAKE MOVE FOR STRUGGLING MAN UTD STAR
AC Milan are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly.
The Ivory Coast international has not featured since being withdrawn 19 minutes into United’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle in early October.
Reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho is eyeing a defensive overhaul in January, and Bailly is among those who he is seeking an upgrade for.
Bailly has also been linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham in January after struggling to hold down a regular starting spot this season.
It was claimed last month that the former Villarreal man – who cost United £30m – has no intention of leaving Old Trafford in January but will ask to be sold next summer if his situation has not improved.
However, the report in Tuttosport claims that Milan will try and tempt the player in January after they suffered injuries to their back line.
