Danny Welbeck looks set to join Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey in quitting the club, while Tottenham have entered the running to sign a PSG star, according to Wednesday’s papers.
WELBECK SET FOR ARSENAL SUMMER EXIT
Danny Welbeck is set to follow Aaron Ramsey out of Arsenal on a free transfer next summer with no new deal currently in sight.
The England striker is in the final year of his existing deal so can talk to foreign clubs from January 1, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
Welbeck has scored four goals so far this season and the Gunners will be anxious to avoid a repeat of the Ramsey situation.
The Wales midfielder is set to leave on a free transfer next summer after talks over a new contract collapsed, with several top Premier League clubs as well as Italian giants AC Milan keen on his signature.
Despite his goalscoring form this season, Welbeck is behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the pecking order of strikers at The Emirates and will need to move to maintain his place in England squads going forward.
