Chelsea are close to making their first signing of the summer, and they have been linked with Porto striker along with Tottenham, while Spurs look set to be snubbed by Ryan Sessegnon, all in Friday’s papers.
CHELSEA MOVE IN ON GOLOVIN
Chelsea are believed to be closing in on their first summer signing after making headway with Russia star Aleksandr Golovin’s agent.
Goal report that Chelsea are leading the chase for the CSKA Moscow man. Juventus are understood to have made a €20million bid and looked favourites to land the midfielder, while Arsenal have also watched the player.
Now though Chelsea re in pole position and the report claims Blues owner Roman Abramovich has assured CSKA they will get closer to their €30m asking price.
The Daily Mail report that “Chelsea have initiated talks with the representatives” of Golovin.
They claim the 22-year-old, who has impressed for Russia, has been watched by the Stamford Bridge club for over a year.
