Manchester United defender Marco Rojo will be the subject of a £12million bid from Barcelona, while Liverpool have joined the race for Andriy Yarmolenko.

Barcelona are said to be preparing a £12million offer for Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.

The Sun repeats a report in Spanish paper Sport that claims Barca will be at the front of the queue for Rojo this summer, with the Argentinian defender likely to be part of a mass clearout at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old has made only eight Premier League appearances this term and has been troubled by injuries since he joined United for £16million in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon.

United have been linked with a number of centre-halves this summer, with Jose Mourinho said to be especially keen to strengthen that area of the side should he take over from Louis van Gaal.

Liverpool are said to be lining up a £25million bid to pip Merseyside rivals Everton to Dynamo Kiev’s Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Toffees and Arsenal have both been linked with the Ukraine winger, who is keen to move to the Premier League this summer.

But The Sun quotes Ukranian paper Sport, who claims Liverpool are ready to make an offer for the 26-year-old.

The Reds are also said to be confident of bringing Mario Gotze to Anfield ahead of next season, even if they cannot offer him immediate Champions League football.
