Barcelona are ready to tempt Chelsea with the offer of an attacker for Eden Hazard this summer, while Everton are chasing a former Man Utd forward, according to Thursday’s papers.
BARCA OFFER TOP STAR TO LAND HAZARD
Barcelona are reportedly ready to test Chelsea’s resolve by offering French forward Ousmane Dembele in return for Belgium forward Eden Hazard.
Hazard has expressed his desire to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and has already indicated that Real Madrid would be his preferred destination.
Earlier this week, reports in France claimed that Hazard already has a verbal agreement in place to move to The Bernabeu, but Barca are also interested in signing the 27-year-old and new reports have claimed that the reigning La Liga champions have held talks with the player’s representatives.
Chelsea are in a strong negotiating position for the time being as Hazard still has two years remaining on his contract, although new boss Maurizio Sarri has already admitted that the player may move on.
But according to Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Barcelona are ready to test Chelsea’s resolve by offering Dembele in their deal to sign Hazard.
The Catalan giants signed Dembele from Borussia Dortmund last summer for an initial £96.8m fee, which could potentially rise to £135.5m.
However, the 21-year-old endured a mixed first season at Nou Camp and has already been linked with a move away from the club.
