Paper Talk: Chelsea keen on Juve full-back; new suitor for Emre Can

Chelsea are ready to make a move for a soon to be out of contract Juventus defender, while Everton have targeted a Basel star, according to Thursday’s papers.

CHELSEA KEEN ON JUVE FULL-BACK

Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign Juventus full-back Kwadwo Asamoah on a free transfer when his contract runs out in the summer.

Blues boss Antonio Conte signed the 29-year-old when he was in charge of Juve back in 2012 and despite a tough start to life in Serie A, the Ghana international has become a key figure for the Italian giants over the last couple of campaigns.

Asamoah’s likely exit is likely to mean that another Blues target, Alex Sandro, will be staying put in Turin.

Sandro came close to moving to Stamford Bridge last summer but the report in The Sun now claims that the Brazilian wants to sign a new long-term deal at Juve.

As for Asamoah, Inter Milan and Napoli are also said to be keen on the player, who it is rumoured favours a move away from Italy, although doubts over Conte’s future at Chelsea may scupper any hopes the landing the player.
