Paper Talk: Ex-Liverpool midfield star up for sale; two more to leave Chelsea

Emre Can TEAMtalk

There could be two more senior departures at Chelsea this month, while Emre Can is not wanted in Italy and is being pursued by two European giants, all in the papers.

TWO OUT AT CHELSEA?

Frank Lampard looks set to face a fight to keep Michy Batshuayi at Chelsea this month.

The 25-year-old has not made the squad for the first two Premier League games under Lampard and was an unused sub in the Super Cup game with Liverpool.

Lampard has favoured both Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham for the lone striker role, ahead of Batshuayi and the Belgium forward is now a target for Roma, claim Calciomercato.

Roma may have tied Edin Dzeko down to a new long-term contract at the Stadio Olimpico, but the Giallorossi are interested in signing Batshuayi before the end of their transfer window this month.

Lampard, who on Sunday pointed out that his hands have been tied behind his back because of the transfer ban, is unlikely to want to see the striker depart with his options thin at Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Express meanwhile report that Paris St-Germain and Monaco are consider offering France midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko a move.

The 25-year-old is another player who has not featured under Lampard this season.
