Jordan Henderson: Confident he will be fit

Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson, Chelsea’s Thibuat Courtois and Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere could all be the subject of summer transfer offers, according to reports.

Tottenham are planning a £25million bid for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Liverpool do not want to sell the midfielder, the newspaper says, but Spurs are likely to be in the Champions League next season and believe they have a real chance of tempting the 25-year-old to London.

The Spurs hierarchy apparently fear Mauricio Pochettino will attract interest in the summer and so want to make a statement of intent in the transfer market to convince the Argentine to continue his good work at White Hart Lane.

Henderson, however, has four years remaining on his £100,000 a week contract at Liverpool, meaning he may have to force a move if Spurs’ approach is knocked back.

Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to sign Eden Hazard and Thibuat Courtois from Chelsea this summer, according to the Sunday Express.

PSG have long been mentioned as suitors for Hazard and are apparently confident they can outdo Real Madrid to sign the Belgian, believing they can use the Spanish club’s ongoing battle against a transfer ban to their advantage.

PSG, who knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League earlier this week, are also said to be planning a move for Courtois, while Oscar and Diego Costa are other potential high-profile departures having been linked with Juventus and Atletico Madrid respectively.

The newspaper says Loic Remy, Pedro and Nemanja Matic could also join Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pato in leaving Stamford Bridge this summer as part of a mass exodus.
