Paper Talk: Walcott fee scares suitors; Kane opens Real talks

Real Madrid have held transfer talks with Harry Kane, while Newcastle look set to sign Joe Hart and have also been in talks over three strikers, according to Saturday’s newspapers.

REAL MADRID IN TALKS OVER HARRY KANE TRANSFER

Real Madrid have opened talks with Harry Kane’s agents over a summer move to the Bernabeu, according to reports.

The England striker is expected to be offered a new deal at Tottenham that would more than double his pay to £200,000 a week amid interest from the reigning European champions.

But that offer would likely be dwarved by what Kane could earn in Spain, with reports in Diario Gol – via the Daily Express – suggest the player will double those potential earning to £400,000 a week.

And the paper claims Kane would be tempted by the move  – especially given the money being talked about – as well as the chance to further his career and trophy prospects.

Any deal for Kane would not come cheap, however, with Tottenham valuing the striker – currently regarded as one the world’s best – at around the £150million mark.

Real could look to offset the cost by offering Spurs the chance to sign old boys Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.
