Paper Talk: Liverpool step up bid to land £20m Ligue 1 forward

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is considering a £20m swoop for a Ligue 1 attacker, while Man City have named their price for Bayern target Leroy Sane, according to Friday’s papers.

KLOPP CONSIDERS RAIDING BORDEAUX FOR £20M ATTACKER

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly weighing up a late move for Bordeaux forward Francois Kamano in a £20million deal.

Liverpool boss Klopp is toying with the idea of moving for the Guinea international as back-up for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, given Daniel Sturridge’s summer exit.

Kamano, 23, scored 10 goals in Ligue 1 for Bordeaux last season and can play anywhere across the forward line.

Klopp does still have Divock Origi and youngster Rhian Brewster to call on as back up for the forward positions, but it would appear that he is tempted by a move for Kamano.

The Reds have had a quiet window so far, with only youngsters Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott arriving at Anfield and although Klopp has ruled out any big-money signings, Kamano is being viewed a decent back-up option for a relatively small fee.

One young Liverpool player who does not appear to have a future at the club, however, is Harry Wilson – following Klopp’s comments about the attacker on Thursday.
