Paper Talk: Real sure of nabbing Chelsea star; Sanchez exit

Manchester City have emerged as the favourites to land an Arsenal forward, while Real Madrid are confident of sealing a deal for a Chelsea playmaker, according to Tuesday’s papers.

Manchester City have taken a surprise lead in the race to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Sanchez is out of contract next summer and would be available for a cut-price £50million, with City ready to pay up to land the Chile star.

The Sun claims that a switch to The Etihad would come as a bit of a surprise, however, with Sanchez previously stating that he would prefer to stay in London.

If that were to be the case then Chelsea would be the only club in the capital with the funds to snap up the 28-year-old.

One thing is for sure, it looks as if Sanchez has had enough of Arsenal.

Real Madrid are increasingly confident they will land Chelsea star Eden Hazard in a record-breaking deal this summer, according to reports.

The La Liga giants are ready to smash the £100m barrier to land the Belgium star and it is thought that Hazard is tempted by the switch.

However, Chelsea are ready to offer the 26-year-old a new deal, worth around £300,000-a-week, to try to keep him out of the clutches of Real, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
