Paper Talk: Arsenal ace France bound; Leeds close in on WBA star

An Arsenal star is set to have his contract cancelled so he can move back to France, while Leeds are closing in on a move for a West Brom attacker, according to Wednesday’s papers.

ROMA TARGET MAN UTD DEFENDER

Manchester United defender Daley Blind is reportedly a deadline day target for Roma.

The Serie A giants are said to made contact with United, who are after a fee of around the £13million they paid to sign the player from Ajax in 2014.

Blind has fallen behind Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in the left-back pecking order at Old Trafford and will be allowed to leave if United’s valuation is met.

Blind was among four United players, including Shaw, Young and Ander Herrera, to have the 12-month option on their contracts activated, but that will not stop him leaving.

Roma are chasing a new full-back after they sold Emerson Palmieri to Chelsea on Tuesday night, and Blind is said to be their first choice, according to the report in the Daily Mirror.
