Paper Talk: Man Utd line up move for Lukaku replacement

Manchester United are lining up a move for a Romelu Lukaku replacement, while Tottenham are considering an alternative to Mauricio Pochettino, according to Monday’s papers.

MAN UTD TARGET LUKAKU REPLACEMENT

Manchester United are reportedly ready to step up their efforts to sign Lyon’s Moussa Dembele as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is keen on a move to Serie A.

The former Celtic striker has already spoken out on speculation linking him with a summer switch to Old Trafford, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to undertake a major overhaul of his squad.

Dembele has fired home 15 goals in Ligue 1 this season, where he continues to develop his reputation as a prolific goalscorer – and according to The Sun, United believe that the 22-year-old has the potential to replace the inconsistent Lukaku.

Indeed, when asked about being linked with a switch to Old Trafford, Dembele refused to rule out a move despite expressing that he is happy with Lyon.

He said: “I signed for five years with Lyon and I’m happy there but we’ll see what happens.

“I’m happy to stay with Lyon next season but we’ll see.”
