Paper Talk: Man City star to double his money amid Real talk

One of Tottenham’s brightest young talents is being hunted by Manchester United, while Liverpool are battling Spurs and Arsenal for a £40m midfielder, according to Thursday’s papers.

Manchester United are reportedly looking to pinch Tottenham’s highly-rated midfield prospect Nonso Madueke.

The 16-year-old England youth star has been registered to play in the UEFA Youth League this season and is rated as one of the top young stars at the club.

However, Madueke has turned down the offer of a new contract with the north London giants and is said to favour a move away, according to the report in the Daily Mail.

United are reported to have followed the player’s progress over the last 18 months and have invited him to join up with their Under-16s squad this week at the MIC Tournament in Spain.

The technically-gifted Madueke made a name for himself at the Sonnenland Cup in 2017 and is also said to have attracted interest from Chelsea.

Spurs will be able to demand compensation for the player, given that they have offered him a new contract, but will be loathe to let one of their top young prospects move on.
