Paper Talk: Man Utd make offer to keeper; chase 6ft 4in centre-back

William Saliba TEAMtalk

Manchester United have offered a young goalkeeper a four-year contract, while they are also interested in a Saint-Etienne defender, all in the papers.

UNITED WANT YOUNG KEEPER

Manchester United have offered Marseille goalkeeper Ahmadou Dia a four-year contract, according to a report in France.

The 20-year-old has been scouted by United and has apparently impressed sufficiently with Get French Football claiming there is an offer on the table for the youngster. L’Equipe have also run the story.

Dia is not yet in the first-team squad, so he is not seen as a direct replacement for David De Gea, who could still leave United in the summer after stalling on a new contract.

Dia has not yet agreed to the deal, but has reportedly told Marseille sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta about the offer.
