Manchester United are ready to bid £60million for a Chelsea attacker, while Jack Wilshere is being linked with a shock move to London rivals, according to Monday’s papers.
MOURINHO READY TO BID FOR £60M CHELSEA ATTACKER
Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £60million bid to take Willian from Chelsea this summer.
United boss Jose Mourinho is seeking a reunion with the Brazil winger, who he first brought to England from Shakhtar Donetsk when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge five years ago, according to the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old, who started Brazil’s disappointing draw with Switzerland on Sunday evening, was used sparingly at Chelsea, starting just 20 times Premier League games last season.
Mourinho has been alerted by Willian’s comments that he found life hard on the bench – even though he was actually crowned Chelsea’s Players’ Player of the Year last month.
The Red Devils boss’ interest in Willian has been long-standing and it is believed that United made enquiries about him in January, only for Chelsea to snub their advances.
Mourinho is looking for another option in his attacking department, as he prepares for Anthony Martial’s potential exit, but will have to fork out a substantial sum if he wants toland a player with two years left on his current contract.
