Manchester United are ready to broker a swap deal with Chelsea in their bid to land Willian, while the Blues look set to beat Liverpool to an Arsenal star, according to Sunday’s papers.
MAN UTD TO OFFER ATTACKER IN BID TO LAND WILLIAN
Manchester United will reportedly offer France forward Anthony Martial to Chelsea in exchange for Brazil winger Willian, with both players valued at £75m.
United boss Jose Mourinho is intent on beating Barcelona to the punch for the Brazilian attacker before the transfer window shuts on Thursday.
And according to the Daily Mirror he will offer wantaway attacker Martial in return to get his man.
Mourinho is said to have lost patience with the French striker, while Willian has been on his radar ever since he took the Old Trafford hotseat back in 2016.
Willian, 29, has irritated new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri by arriving back late from his summer break, citing an expired passport as the reason, although Sarri has admitted that he wants the winger to stay at Stamford Bridge.
United’s board are reportedly reluctant to give up on Martial, but Mourinho is stated to have lost confidence in the attacker and would be happy to trade him.
