Manchester United may be set to cash in on a key forward this summer, while Steven Gerrard is eyeing a move for a Liverpool starlet, according to Wednesday’s papers.

MAN UTD OPEN UP TO WINGER SALE

Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for star man Anthony Martial this summer.

A report from the Daily Mail claims that United are open to the idea of letting the Frenchman leave Old Trafford this summer, but they would prefer him to be sold abroad.

Chelsea and Spurs have been credited with interest in Martial, but the Red Devils are wary that selling him to a direct rival could come back to haunt them.

Napoli and Juventus have also been linked with a move for the former Monaco man, though it is anticipated that his £65k-a-week wages could be a stumbling block.

The Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that Jose Mourinho is looking to revamp his defence with a £55million move for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

However, the report claims that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants a forward who can also play on the wing or at No.10 and Spurs may well insist that Martial is thrown into any prospective deal.
