Manchester United are ready to pay up £179million to land a Tottenham star, while Manchester City are keeping tabs on a Real Sociedad defender, all in the Monday’s papers.
MAN UTD PREPARE HUGE BID FOR SPURS STAR
Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a huge bid to land Tottenham star Dele Alli.
The England midfielder has been attracting interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the former said to have hugely impressed after Alli bagged a brace against them in Spurs’ recent Champions League win at Wembley.
A report in Don Balon claims that the 21-year-old could quit Tottenham in search of silverware and that United are prepared to pay £179million to get their man.
Alli only cost Spurs £5million when he moved from MK Dons in 2015 but despite scoring seven goals so far this campaign, Mauricio Pochettinho is said to be concerned that Alli’s level has dropped and is looking to get more out of the gifted playmaker.
Alli is thought to be the most likely of Tottenham’s attacking trio to be sold, if Pochettino decides to part company with one his star men, as Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen are said to be not for sale at any price.
As for United, Jose Mourinho is looking to revamp his midfield and attacking options in 2018 and believes Alli could turn himself into a world class performer at Old Trafford.
