Henrikh Mkhitaryan & Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Linked with moves

A Roma defender has been linked to Chelsea, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan has demanded a huge pay rise if he is to join Arsenal, according to Wednesday’s papers.

MKHI DEMANDING HIS SHARE

Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has demanded astronomical wages if he is to join Arsenal in a deal for Alexis Sanchez, a report claims.

The Daily Record claims that Mkhitaryan has told Arsenal he wants the same wage package that was offered to Sanchez if he is to move to North London.

The Armenia international allegedly has several reservations about moving to the Gunners, including having to drop down to the Europa League and the club being adrift of the top four currently.

A return to former club Borussia Dortmund is believed to be the preference of the 28-year-old rather than a switch to the Emirates.

The report goes on to state that his agent, Mino Raiola, is demanding Arsenal make Mkhitaryan the highest paid player in the club’s history if they are to tempt him to leave Manchester.

Mkhitaryan currently earns around £140,000-a-week at United, but Arsenal’s final contract offer to Sanchez reached £300,000-a-week, reports claim.

Speaking about Mkhitaryan’s future, agent Raiola told The Times: “Manchester United are not going to sign Sanchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal.

“Mkhi is going to do what is best for him. He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, so it’s his decision.”
