PSG have reportedly turned their attention to David de Gea after deciding to axe Gianluigi Buffon, while Tottenham are ready to bid £40m for a Roma star, according to Thursday’s papers.
PSG TURN TO MAN UTD STAR AFTER BUFFON AXE
PSG are reportedly ready to make a bid for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea after the French giants announced the departure of Gianluigi Buffon.
The 41-year-old’s departure was announced in a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, which read: “A gentleman on and off the pitch and an extraordinary team-mate. We wish you the best for the future.”
It was reported by The Sun back in April that the Ligue 1 champions were going to make a £60million bid for the Old Trafford stopper.
Buffon joined PSG from Juventus on a one-year deal last July and although he had the option of an extra year in his contract, the French outfit decided not to pick it up.
Reports last month claimed the club were willing to let him go and replace him with Kevin Trapp, but The Times now claims that PSG will now step up their chase for De Gea.
