Paper Talk: Real Madrid star refuses to join Arsenal’s sinking ship

An unwanted Real Madrid man has turned down Arsenal, while Man Utd will offer £55million for Erling Braut Haaland after deciding against a move for Mario Mandzukic, all in the papers.

JAMES RODRIGUEZ SNUBS ARSENAL

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez has rejected the idea of a move to Arsenal, according to a report in Spain.

Marca claim the Colombia star is not keen on joining what looks like a sinking ship in north London.

The Gunners had been contemplating the possibility of making a move for Rodriguez in January, but the 28-year-old appears determined to stay with Los Blancos and attempt to win over manager Zinedine Zidane.

It appears that Madrid have been hawking around Rodriguez, but with little success.

El Desmarque on Thursday claimed that Florentino Perez wanted to ‘shake the tree’ in January and get a deal for Man Utd’s Paul Pogba done.

It claimed that Perez was trying to bring down the €188m asking price that United have put on Pogba and is planning to offer €85m plus attacking stars Rodriguez and Mariano Diaz.
