Real Madrid are ready to make an opening bid of £100million to try and sign two Chelsea stars, while Antonio Conte could take over at AC Milan, according to Monday’s papers.
CHELSEA DUO TARGETED BY REAL MADRID
Real Madrid have reportedly made Chelsea an opening offer of £100m for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and attacker Willian.
The Belgian goalkeeper has made no secret of his desire to move back to the Spanish capital, where his children live, and has just one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Willian, meanwhile, looked set to join Barcelona last week but the Catalan club baulked at Chelsea’s £70m asking price and settled on spending half that amount on Bordeaux winger Malcom instead.
The 29-year-old, who has also been strongly linked with Manchester United, is being valued at around £65m by Real and is seen as a direct replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the report in the Daily Mail.
Courtois’ potential exit has seen Chelsea linked with England keepers Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland, with the former the strong favourite to make the move to the west London club before the transfer window shuts on August 9.
