Paper Talk: Real tempt Man Utd to get De Gea; Chelsea eye Belgian

Real Madrid would prefer to sell one of their star men to Manchester United this summer, while Chelsea are hoping to beat United to the signing of a Belgium midfielder, according to Monday’s papers.

Real Madrid reportedly want to sell James Rodriguez to Manchester United this summer.

The Colombia international has struggled to earn a regular starting spot in Zinedine Zidane’s side this season and has had struggles with form and fitness.

As a result, Real are looking to offload the 25-year-old this summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Juventus also mentioned as possible destinations.

However, according to a report in the Daily Express, Real want Rodriguez to be part of any deal that would see United goalkeeper David De Gea return to Madrid.

The Spanish giants are desperate to bring in the 26-year-old, who has been at Old Trafford since 2011 but has been strongly tipped to finally return home this summer, having missed out on a move to Real back in 2015.

Chelsea are reportedly aiming to beat Manchester United in the race to sign £25m-rated Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Inter Milan have been strongly tipped as favourites to sign one of Europe’s hottest properties, but the 19-year-old Anderlecht star could soon be the subject of a bid from the Blues.

The Daily Express claims that Chelsea have become frustrated in their pursuit of Atalanta’s Franck Kessie, who looks set to join Roma, and have now turned their attentions to Tielemans, who impressed as Anderlecht held United to a 1-1 draw in the Europa League last Thursday.

Indeed, United fans will be able to see first hand what all the fuss is about when the Belgian outfit visit Old Trafford for the second leg of the quarter-final clash this week, while Chelsea are certain to have scouts in attendance ahead of a potential bid.
