Marcelo Brozovic: Could be sold by Inter in January

Arsenal and Chelsea have registered interest in signing a new midfielder, while Jurgen Klopp is ready to raid his ex-club with an £11m bid, according to Saturday’s papers.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both locked in a transfer battle to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Following the imminent arrivals of Gabriel Barbosa and Joao Mario at the San Siro, the Croatian is inching closer to exit door and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.

“It’s true, there are many options and we are talking about some big European clubs,” agent Miroslav Bicanic told Index in Croatia.

“I heard that Chelsea representatives are in Milan and that Arsenal are also prepared to sign him. Inter are pushing to sell to one of these two clubs who are prepared to pay a sum that satisfies all concerned.

“However, I am currently in Zagreb and there’s plenty of time before transfer deadline day. The matter is not so urgent and until Marcelo signs a contract with another club, he remains an Inter player.”

Jurgen Klopp: Admits Liverpool have big squad

Liverpool have joined Stoke in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Reds have reportedly tabled an £11million bid for ‘one of the most exciting young talents in Europe’, but Klopp’s former club are determined to keep hold of the 17-year-old.

Pulisic joined the German club’s under-17 side 18 months ago and broke into first team in February, making nine appearances and having a helping hand in two goals.

With the transfer window closing on Wednesday, Liverpool are leaving it late to conclude a deal and may be forced to wait until January to reignite their interst.
