Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer superstar forward Lionel Messi a bumper new deal, while Chelsea target Leonardo Bonucci wants to see out his Juventus contract.

Barcelona are ready to offer Lionel Messi a whopping new contract in a bid to ward off any interest in their superstar forward this summer.

The Spanish giants are ready to pay the 29-year-old a salary of 35m euros (£30m) a year to sign a new contract with the club, according to Marca.

Manchester City have long been linked with a move for the Argentinian, while the hug pot of money floating around in the Chinese Super League has also seen clubs there enter the race for his signature.

With Barca’s managerial situation set to change this summer, the next man in the Nou Camp hotseat will no doubt play a huge role in whether the La Liga side can keep their talisman.

Chelsea target Leonardo Bonucci has revealed that he wants to see out his current contract at Juventus.

The Italy international, who has been linked with Manchester City, is contracted to the Serie A giants until 2021.

The news is sure to come as a big blow for Chelsea chief Antonio Conte, who managed Conte at Juve and while in charge of the national team, and is a huge fan of the defender.

The Daily Mail claims that while Bonucci’s future remains uncertain following a touchline row with manager Massimiliano Allegri, the fact the Juve boss could be on the move this summer has strengthened his desire to stay at the club.
