Paper Talk: Surprise double striker link for Man Utd; Arsenal to offload Ozil
Manchester United are looking at two strikers as they contemplate a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, while Arsenal could finally offload Mesut Ozil with surprise suitors emerging, all in the papers.
UNITED CHASE TWO STRIKERS
With Romelu Lukaku’s future at Manchester United seemingly over, the club have been linked with two strikers.
Sky Sports Italia report that United are considering a surprise move for former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente. The 34-year-old Spanish forward is currently available on a free transfer.
Llorente had two years with Spurs scoring 13 goals in 66 appearances, although he managed just two goals in the Premier League.
There is no real rush with that one for United though as he can be signed outside the transfer window.
United have also made an offer for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to Yahoo Sports France.
The 23-year-old former Celtic star hit 51 goals in 94 appearances before moving to Lyon in August 2018 for around £30million. The former Fulham striker scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, but a move for the player would depend on whether Inter Milan can get a deal done for Lukaku.
The striker has trained with Anderlecht in Belgium the last two days with United refusing to comment on the situation.
