Tottenham have been handed a boost in their hunt for a striker while Everton want to bring a former Liverpool striker back to the Premier League – all in Sunday’s newspapers.

Tottenham have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Krzysztof Piatek after the AC Milan striker insisted he is looking for a challenge in the Champions League, according to reports.

Spurs are in the hunt for a new striker this month after Harry Kane picked up a hamstring injury which will rule him out of action until April at the earliest.

Polish international Piatek has shown promise at AC Milan this term, having scored five goals in 19 appearances in all competitions.

Previous reports have indicated that the likes of Aston Villa are keen on the player but Spurs have also been linked.

According to The Sun, Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is also interested but they have pulled out of the race after Piatek demanded a move for Champions League football.
