Tottenham are ready to use a secret weapon to land a Real Betis playmaker this summer, while Celtic have made a shock move for Jose Mourinho, according to Monday’s papers.
TOTTENHAM TO USE STRIKER IN MOVE FOR BETIS PLAYMAKER
Tottenham are reportedly ready to use striker Vincent Janssen in their bid to land a Real Betis playmaker this summer.
Spurs have been somewhat surprisingly linked with a move for Victor Camarasa, who has been one of the few bright spots while on loan at relegated Cardiff this season.
Estadio Deportivo recently suggested that Camarasa could cost as much as €20million (£17million) after his good form in Cardiff.
That fee may be a little high for a Spurs team that has not signed a player in the last two transfer windows, but the report goes to add that a swap deal could be on the cards with Janssen moving in the opposite direction.
Betis are said to have returned to the negotiating table with Spurs over a deal for Janssen, after a January move for the Dutchman fell through at the last minute.
Despite his recent shock return to the Tottenham bench, Janssen will still almost certainly be moved on this summer and the north London club will be hoping that Betis’ desire to land their £18.6m flop will see Camarasa remain in the Premier League with them.
