Tottenham are keen on a swap deal for an Inter Milan star as Christian Eriksen nears his move to the San Siro, while Leeds are to bid for a prolific Championship striker, according to Friday’s newspapers.
TOTTENHAM TARGET INTER STAR IN ERIKSEN SWAP DEAL
Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino is reportedly really keen on a move to Tottenham and could be part of a swap deal for Christian Eriksen.
The Danish playmaker is said to be closing in on a move to the San Siro for a cut-price fee, with his agent spotted in Milan as he tries to broker the deal.
But it would appear that Spurs are looking for some form of swap, with Uruguay star Vecino potentially on his way to north London.
The £20million-rated star is being to tipped to bolster a midfield that now includes loanee Gedson Fernandes, with Jose Mourinho looking for new recruits due to injuries to Moussa Sissoko and club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele.
The likes of Eric Dier and Harry Winks are not said to have convinced Mourinho that they are long-term options at the heart of Tottenham’s midfield, with the former still being tipped to leave.
Indeed, it is rumoured that Mourinho is only giving Dier game time to put him in the shop window for a potential this month.
As for Eriksen, Inter are said to have offered an initial £13m to sign a player who is out of contract this summer, and while Spurs want more – a swap deal involving Vecino may prove to be the better option.
